Tax return deadline looms…

Struggling to get your business paperwork together?

The deadline of 31st January to file your self-assessment tax return is nearly upon us and accountants are reporting that they are still awaiting some of their clients’ business records and information. This now means they can no longer guarantee filing it in time for the deadline.

If this sounds familiar and it is always a struggle to get the information together, then why not get some assistance with your bookkeeping throughout the year.

The advantages of getting your business information to your accountant early are;

  • There isn’t a last-minute panic at the end of the year or a penalty for not meeting the deadline
  • You can actually remember what happened in the year! It may sound obvious but it can become more difficult to remember the answers to any queries
  • You know your tax liability well in advance and can plan for it
  • Your accounts will be finalised sooner to help with decision making for your business.

Just a couple of hours support a month could mean your receipts are organised and filed away ready to go to the accountant promptly after the year end.

Why not make this your new years resolution and give me a call to assist!
